The Museum Store at the McNay has wonderful finds all year round, but is a particularly great place to shop during the holidays. There are no lines, the staff is friendly, the shelves are well-stocked, and there’s something (unique) for everyone on your list. This year I was delighted to find these Andy Warhol inspired cards featuring the artist’s Christmas Tree, circa1957. I absolutely adore Warhol’s whimsical designs from the 1950s, which highlight his signature “blotted line” drawing/printing technique.” | |

| Sheena Solitaire | Museum Educator, Family & Public Programs “I picked this book, that conceptualizes letters as works of contemporary art, for my son because he’s fascinated by the alphabet and kids respond so well to contemporary art because it’s so open to imagination. I paired it with this old-school kaleidoscope because it’s overlooked, inexpensive, but it would occupy and fascinate him. For my baby girl, I chose Faces for Baby, which has a lot of great pictures and because babies are so fascinated by faces, so it’s a great way to get her to start looking at some art.” |

The two involving images and cameras are for the boys and might inspire a conversation between brothers.
