The McNay offers free docent-led tours for student groups. Choose from four different tour options or design your own visit. Book your tour on the Student Tours page. Ask about our bus reimbursement fund.

Three-hour program offered twice per year, in the fall and spring, on a Thursday evening with a keynote address, docent tours, and multiple sessions related to a special exhibition.
Three-hour workshops held on Saturdays or Thursday evenings related to an exhibition, the McNay collection, art media, or a curriculum area.
In addition to educator events, you may also receive credit for attending selected public programs, including lectures. To receive a CPE certificate, call 210.805.1768 or email education@mcnayart.org providing your name as you would like it to appear on the certificate.
Spotlight is an annual program that invites students to make creative responses to one work of art in the museum’s collection. The culmination of this year-long focus is the Spotlight Celebration, where students have a forum to showcase their finished projects and talk about the creative process.
Summer Sip and Learn for Educators is a two-day summer retreat relating to a variety of curriculum areas to art in the McNay’s collection or special exhibitions.
¡Mas Museos! is a one-day program in July jointly presented by the San Antonio Museum of Art, the Witte Museum, the DoSeum, and the McNay to introduce upcoming exhibitions and programs to area educators before the academic year begins.
The Teacher Resource Center (TRC) is a lending library of classroom resources, including exhibition catalogues, story books, and DVDs. The TRC acquires resources related to every special exhibition. Borrow an art-related DVD, or book to prepare your students for an upcoming museum visit or to supplement a lesson.
